Rainbow Acres Ranchers Go for the Gold at Special Olympics

Recently, 38 Rainbow Acres Ranchers participated in the 10th Annual Special Olympics Arizona Mountain Area Bocce Tournament at Parkside Church in Camp Verde. Other teams came from Holbrook, Payson and Flagstaff Mountaineers. The athletes loved getting together with recommended public health and safety precautions in place, championship smiles were as visible as our athletic prowess. All of our Ranchers received gold, silver or bronze metals!

We’re grateful to Allan and Judy Roughton for helping with this tournament for the last 10 years. Sefton Engineering paid for lunch for everyone, and the Camp Verde Kiwanis group gave us a donation for the port-a Jon’s. The Camp Verde Marshall and Camp Verde Firefighters came out!! They brought their police cars and fire truck with a big ladder!! The officers gave out all the athlete awards. Thank you to our community for your winning spirit and supporting Special Olympics!
