March marks 25 years of continued and dedicated service here for our very own Rev. Gary W. Wagner, President and CEO of Rainbow Acres. We’re so grateful for his wisdom, guidance and devotion to bettering the lives of adults with developmental disabilities.

Since March 1996, Gary’s vision and leadership have enabled Rainbow Acres to steadily improve the quality of life for our resident Ranchers through new facilities, inspiring programs and strengthened staff support.  Throughout his tenure, progress has been guided by the principle that everything should be done for the Ranchers. “As I look back at the past 25 years, we have kept the Ranchers at the center of every decision we’ve made,” Wagner said. “In response to their needs, we upgraded the homes and other buildings, created programs that expanded their horizons, and involved our Ranchers in surrounding communities to a great extent.”

We’ll be celebrating for the months to come, but held a special celebration here at the ranch at the beginning of the month. The Ranchers and Staff celebrated with cake and cupcakes, special decorations, cards, words of gratitude, and a special commemorative award presented Gary.

Many special messages were written in and passed on to Gary, and we are equally grateful for the community Gary has fostered that has in turn, touched our hearts and lives as well.  Thank you for your messages and kindnesses, and we look forward to continuing the celebration!

“We always give thanks to God for all of you, making mention of you in our prayers; constantly keeping in mind your work of faith and labor of love and perseverance of hope in our Lord Jesus Christ in the presence of our God and Father…” – 1 Thessalonians 1:2-3
